El Parque Griffith

El Parque Griffith es un parque inmenso situado en Los Ángeles, California. Me encanta ir allí con mis amigos y familiares. El parque ofrece muchas actividades para los visitantes, desde la posibilidad de realizar grandes excursiones a pie hasta, incluso, jugar golf. También dentro del parque se encuentra el Teatro Griego, sede de muchos conciertos. El teatro fue construido a imagen y semejanza de un anfiteatro griego. Muchos músicos, entre ellos The Who y Paul McCartney, se han presentado allí.

Deportes

Como les mencioné la semana pasada, se está desarrollando el torneo de tenis BNP Paribas en Indian Wells, California. Los partidos finales se disputarán este fin de semana. Ha sido un gran torneo este año, con partidos emocionantes. 

La temporada de las Grandes Ligas del Beisbol está por comenzar. Los equipos están en los entrenamientos de primavera en Arizona y en Florida. Será una gran temporada este año y espero que a los Atléticos de Oakland les vaya muy bien. Oakland es mi equipo favorito y he ido a sus juegos desde que era niño. Otro equipo que sigo son los Gigantes de San Francisco, en el que se encuentra un jugador venezolano llamado Pablo Sandoval. Es estupendo verlo jugar.

Griffith Park

Griffith Park is a large public park in Los Angeles, California. I enjoy spending time there with my friends and family. There are many activities at the park including hiking and even a few golf courses. Also at the park is the Greek Theatre which holds many concerts. The theatre was built to resemble a greek amphitheater. Many famous musicians have performed at the theatre such as The Who and Paul McCartney.

Sports

As I mentioned last week, the BNP Paribas tennis tournament in Indian Wells, California is underway. The final matches are this weekend. It has been a great tournament this year with some terrific matches. 

The Major League Baseball season is close to starting. The teams are at spring training in Arizona and Florida. It will be a great season this year and I hope the Oakland A's (Athletics) will do well. Oakland is my favorite team and I have attended their games since I was a child. Another team I watch is the San Francisco Giants. They have a Venezuelan player on their team named Pablo Sandoval. He is a great player to watch.
